Week 8 - Day 4

*What nutrients can be found in ground beef?
Read pages 110-111 to find out.

Sloppy Joes are so easy to make,
and making them from scratch is much healthier, they taste much better,
and are more cost effective.
So put your canned products and seasoning packets away, and...

Gather your supplies and ingredients.

Brown the ground beef.

Add the diced onion and green pepper.

Add the remaining ingredients in the correct amounts.

Serve on buns.
I added a slice of provolone cheese,
and served them with honeydew melon from my garden
and fresh scallions.

Today I also served my Sloppy Joes
with sweet potato chips
and homegrown / homemade pickled beets.

"Sow for yourselves righteousness,
reap the fruit of steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground,
for it is the time to seek the LORD,
that He may come and rain salvation upon you."
Hosea 10:12

Onions

Beets

I hope you are seeking the Lord, dear friend,
for we live in troubled times.

See you in the next lesson when we'll be making
the Ultimate Ginger Cookie.
