Week 11 - Day 3

*Did you know that:
~Being healthy involves our whole being - mind, body, and spirit?
~Sunshine is important for us physically and emotionally?
~The earliest form of exercise was walking and just 'living life'
(hunting, working, building rugged shelters, cultivating fields, playing active games...)
~Keeping the Sabbath rest is healthy for us?
~What we see and hear affect our overall health?

Read about the many ways to obtain maximum overall health
on pages 144-146.

Gather today's supplies and ingredients to make Tuna Burgers
(and Tomato Cucumber Salad.)

The tuna can be any brand name...whatever is on sale...but should be while albacore in water.)

Drain the tuna.

Combine the tuna, bread crumbs, and eggs.

Add the remaining ingredients.
Dividing the celery stalk into 1/4's will allow for smaller diced pieces.

Make into patties.
(If the mixture is too flaky and not holding together well,
you can always add an extra egg.
The egg acts as the "adhesive" to hold it all together.)

Add to the hot skillet.

Continue until all the mixture is used.

Flip the burgers after about 5 minutes or when they are nicely browned.

Once both sides are browned, transfer to a serving plate.
You could serve these on whole grain buns,
with or without all natural cheese,
or topped with arugula sauce, as pictured below.
(See page 150 for making arugula sauce)

The directions for the Tomato Cucumber Salad that you'll be making today
can be found on pages 149-150.  It's very easy.

I added a few more ingredients shown here,
such as artichoke hearts, fresh basil, and black olives.
Otherwise, the process is the same.
(see page 149-150)

Page 150 also describes making homemade french fries,
if you are ever interested in having them with your burgers.

I look forward to being with you again in the next lesson!
