Week 17 - Day 2

*Did you know that:
~a good breakfast provides the energy you need to move, think, concentrate, and function at your optimum capacity?
~today's breakfast contains "go foods," "glow foods," and "grow foods"?

Hello again, friend!
Good to be with you.
Gather your ingredients and supplies for today's lesson.

Steel-cut oats are whole grain oats that have not been mechanically processed.

Boil the water.
Then add the oats and cook as directed on page 230.
(Stir every few minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking.)

Once the oats are cooked, add the flax seed, cinnamon, ...

 and almonds.

Stir to combine,
then ladle into bowls.

Top with fresh blueberries, a few more almonds,
and cream and pure maple syrup if desired.

Just an FYI...
Chia seeds are also becoming popular as an ancient grain
that provides healthful nutrition.
A few of these (1/4 tsp.) could also be added to a meal like this.
Just stir them in with the flax seed.
Remember to chew well to crush the flax and chia seeds to obtain their maximum potential.

What we eat cannot be separated out from other disciplines.
We eat for the glory of God because we are His temple where He resides.
2 Chronicles 23:19 says that anything unclean was to be kept out of the temple.
Are we keeping "unclean", unwholesome or unnatural foods out of God's temple?

Something to think about!

Have a great rest of the day!
