Week 16 - Day 3

 *Did you know there are over 1000 different varieties of potatoes?

Hello, friend.  Good to be with you again.  
Nothing beats the comfort and warmth of a bowl of steaming hot, homemade soup.  
Gather your supplies for today's lesson.
Note amounts and measurements in the Healthy Home Ec book.


 Combine the water, the listed spices, and potatoes in the large pot. 
 Fresh ground pepper has a fuller flavor.



Peel the potato, slicing away from you, using the potato peeler.

Cut potato in half.  Lay flat sides down.


Slice each half into sections.
Then turn and slice in opposite directions to make small cubes.




Add to the pot. 


Boil and cook the potatoes as directed.


Do not drain. Mash the potatoes.




Add the organic milk and remaining ingredients.






Serve hot in bowls.
You can add extra cheese to the top of the soup if desired.




Always remember to clean up the dishes and kitchen.
Refrigerate any left over soup in a sealed container.
